EAI has been surveying ideological issues in Korean society annually since May 2002. The primary objective of the survey is to empirically understand the content and criteria of ideology in Korean society. The secondary objective is to identify the differences and changes in the distribution of ideological perceptions among the public resulting from shifts in social realities. In societies undergoing rapid socio-economic changes, ideological tendencies ingrained in the public consciousness tend to be more variable. Therefore, EAI conducts public opinion polls by selecting key issues representing ideological conflicts across various domains, including politics, economics, society, and foreign policy and security.
