EAI-JoongAng Ilbo National Governance Evaluation Public Opinion Survey: Six Months into Term, August 2003

The East Asia Institute (EAI) analyzes public evaluations and perceptions of government, corporations, civic organizations, and the media that drive South Korea. This is because 21st-century democracy operates as a governance system where not only the state but also corporations, civic organizations, and the media that constitute society participate in policy-making processes. Through periodic national governance evaluation public opinion surveys and surveys on the influence and trustworthiness of powerful institutions, the EAI aims to contribute to setting the direction toward a more efficient democratic system by understanding South Korea's governance structure and tracking public perceptions.
