EAI has been surveying ideological issues in our society annually since May 2002. The primary objective of the survey is to empirically understand the content and criteria of ideology within Korean society. The secondary objective is to identify the differences and changes in the distribution of ideological perceptions among the public that arise from shifts in social realities. In societies undergoing rapid socio-economic transformations, ideological orientations held by the public tend to be more variable. Therefore, EAI conducts public opinion polls by selecting key issues that represent ideological conflicts across various domains, including politics, economics, society, and foreign policy and security.
