Regional Issue Compilation [Local Election Panel Survey]

Overview

The May 31, 2006 Local Election Panel Survey is the first full-scale panel survey in the history of Korean election research, jointly planned by EAI, SBS, JoongAng Ilbo, and Hankook Research. This survey, which allows for tracking changes in voter attitudes through the same panel, was conducted in four waves of local panel surveys (Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Chungnam) and two waves of national panel surveys before and after the May 31 local elections.

This dataset compiles the major issues in Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, and Chungnam, which were the primary target regions for the local panel survey, along with the election campaign situations and key policies of the candidates from each party in those regions.
