Trends in Candidate Support for Metropolitan Mayors by Region [Local Election Panel Survey]

Overview

The May 31, 2006, National Local Election Panel Survey is the first full-scale panel survey in the history of Korean election research, jointly planned by EAI, SBS, JoongAng Ilbo, and Hankook Research. This survey, which tracks changes in voter attitudes through the same panel, was conducted in four local panel surveys (Seoul, Busan, Gwangju, Chungnam) and two national panel surveys before and after the May 31 local elections.

This data compiles opinion polls announced by major media outlets to summarize the trends in support rates for candidates for metropolitan mayors in 16 regions nationwide.
