The EAI, with the support from the Pyongtaek City, will host the third Korea-US Alliance Conference on November 3, 2009 at Lotte Hotel Seoul. At the conference, former Senior Secretary for Foreign Affairs and National Security, Byung-Kook Kim (Korea University) and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Tom J. Christensen (Princeton University) will deliver a public lecture on the topic of "Toward Smart ROK-U.S. Alliance."

At the conference, former Senior Secretary for Foreign Affairs and National Security, Byung-Kook Kim (Korea University) and former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, Tom J. Christensen (Princeton University) will deliver a public lecture on the topic of "Toward Smart ROK-U.S. Alliance." Following the lecture, a roundtable discussion will take place inviting experts from Korea, the U.S., China, and Japan to discuss the topic of security alliance in East Asia.
