Asia Democracy Research Network “Sharing Our Practices for Better Governance” Interview 7

The seventh interview in the ADRN “Sharing Our Practices for Better Governance” series was produced by the Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance in the Philippines. The interviewee is Kris Ablan, who, as of 2017, holds the position of Undersecretary at the Presidential Communications Operations Office. In the Philippines, policy-making processes, which were previously paper-based, have been transitioned to a web-based system, enabling more direct political participation from residents. Furthermore, given that the country is an archipelago, information sharing between regions has been a persistent challenge, and this initiative played a significant role in addressing it.
