[KF-EAI Korea Friendship] Kim Se-yeon, Member of the National Assembly for the Bareun Party, "The Meaning of the 30th Anniversary of the June 29 Declaration and Our Tasks"

The East Asia Institute (EAI), in cooperation with the Korea Foundation (KF), conducts the KF-EAI Korea Friendship program, an educational and networking initiative for international students residing in Korea.

Assemblyman Kim Se-yeon stated that the Bareun Party was formed out of reflection on the failure that led to the birth of the Park Geun-hye administration, which faced impeachment, and the responsibility for it. She discussed the significance of the June 29 Declaration of 1987 and the tasks it presents to us today. Furthermore, she clarified the Bareun Party's stance on the impeachment of former President Park Geun-hye and Korean democracy, emphasizing that South Korea must actively supplement its democratic system and that citizens must lead society, avoiding the repetition of past mistakes. She also mentioned that the party is researching policies aligned with the approaching era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
