2015 Next Generation Conference

The Next Generation Conference was held at the Kukdo Hotel on October 7 (Wed) as part of the KF-EAI Korea Friendship [Communication: Talking About Korea] project. The Next Generation Conference followed an 8-lecture series and was an essay contest where participants wrote and presented essays based on the knowledge acquired through the Korea Exploration lectures. Outstanding papers were selected through a rigorous review by scholars belonging to the EAI knowledge network. At this conference, moderated by advisory professor Shin Jae-hyuk (Korea University), presentations and discussions were held on the outstanding papers selected this year, along with discussants who are graduate students from domestic and international universities and former EAI interns.

The Grand Prize was awarded to Huyen Nguyen Thi (Korea University) for "South Korea's Aging Population and Economic Growth: Causes and Solutions," and the Excellence Award was given to An Xuanxi (Yonsei University) for "Why Do South Korean University Students Value Spoken and Academic Records?"
