[KF-EAI Korea Friendship] Gayageum Performer Kwak Eun-a: “Korean Music, Korean Instruments – In Search of Eternal Sound”

The East Asia Institute (EAI) is conducting the [KF-EAI Korea Friendship] program, an educational and networking initiative for international students residing in Korea, supported by the Korea Foundation (KF) and Samyang Holdings.

The first lecture of [Inquiry: Listening to Korea], an eight-part lecture series exploring Korean society, was held on Monday, September 7th, at the Eugene Investment & Securities main conference hall. Gayageum performer Kwak Eun-a (Ewha Womans University) delivered a lecture on the origins of traditional Korean music and its evolution across different eras and social strata, followed by performances demonstrating instruments such as the gayageum, daegeum, and taepyeongso, offering a comprehensive experience of traditional Korean music.
