SBS-EAI Joint Project "Welcome to the Inter-Korean Youth Unification Experiment" Preview

The first outcome of the 1-2 year research phase of the "4-Year Research on Inter-Korean Integration Measures for a Unified Korea" (2014-2017), a joint project by SBS and EAI, will be broadcast on Sunday, August 9th at 11:10 PM. Narrated by singer Jang Ki-ha, this program diagnoses that the existing portrayal of North Korea and defectors on TV and in the media has been largely focused on the "Arduous March period," failing to adequately reflect subsequent changes in North Korea. This program seeks to explore the expansion of North Korean markets, particularly the "Jangmadang" (marketplace), and the perceptual differences between South and North Korean societies through a practical experiment involving young people from both Koreas.
