[EAI 10th Anniversary] Special Lecture by Professor Kim Woo-chang

To commemorate its 10th anniversary, EAI is hosting a series of public lectures featuring distinguished intellectuals of our time. The second lecture was held on May 31st with Professor Kim Woo-chang, on the topic of "The Ideal of an Ethical State: Tradition and Modernity."

He is currently an Emeritus Professor at Korea University and a Distinguished Professor at Ewha Womans University. He graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in English Literature, completed his master's program at Cornell University in the United States, and earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University for his dissertation on American Civilization. He is a scholar of English literature who seeks to reflect on society with a perspective that transcends academic boundaries. His works include the 'Collected Works of Kim Woo-chang' (5 volumes), such as "Poets in an Impoverished Age," "Measures on Earth," "The Jeweler of Poets," "The Path Without Law," and "Towards a Rational Society," as well as "The Pursuit of Aesthetic Reason," "Politics and the World of Life," and "Action and Thought."
