The East Asia Institute hosted the "MacArthur Asia Security Initiative 2010 Annual Meeting" on July 8 and 9, 2010. The "Asia Security Initiative" (ASI) is a program launched in 2009 by the MacArthur Foundation in the United States with the aim of developing research agendas and policy alternatives to promote peace and security in the Asian region.
