The East Asia Institute (EAI) hosted, and Pyeongtaek City sponsored, the 3rd Korea-U.S. Alliance Conference on November 2 and 3, 2009, at the Lotte Hotel. On November 2, the first part, a Grand Debate on Pyeongtaek's Future Strategy, was held under the theme "Pyeongtaek's Internationalization Strategy for Education." On November 3, the second part, a Grand Lecture, and the third part, a Roundtable Discussion, were held under the theme "The Transforming World and the Korea-U.S. Alliance."
